PMBs and Chronic medication
PMBs are a set of defined benefits that make sure that all medical scheme members have access to certain minimum health services, regardless of their Plan.
Find out more about PMBs and how the Chronic Illness Benefit gives cover for medication if you have a listed condition for which you have to take medication for three months or longer.
Oncology and HIV
If you are diagnosed with cancer, you have access to cover through the Oncology Programme once we approve your cancer treatment.
For members living with HIV and AIDS, Bankmed's HIV Programme provides comprehensive disease management.
Designated Service Providers
Bankmed is committed to providing top quality healthcare, and as part of our commitment we have established various contracted networks known as Designated Service Providers (DSPs).
These DSPs include GPs, specialists, pharmacies and hospitals. Depending on your Plan type, you have access to different networks.
Centre's, Screening and Prevention
The success of preventative healthcare depends on your participation. Bankmed is committed to providing you with information geared towards improving every aspect of your health.
We also provide funding for cochlear implants through recognised Centre's of Excellence.
Taking care of our Pensioner members
Bankmed offers a range of wellness and preventative screenings, as well as vaccinations.
For your convenience, we offer you the opportunity to schedule an appointment with BioFITT Wellness, who will conduct screenings and vaccinations at your place of residence.
The Baby-and-Me Programme
Baby-and-Me is Bankmed's maternity programme that gives expecting moms and their partners information that empowers them.
The Baby-and-Me Programme is only available to members on the Core Saver, Traditional and Comprehensive Plans.
